After more than 20 different events across the city, Sunday October 25 saw the exciting conclusion of this year's spirit-fuelled Bristol Cocktail Week.

Not only was the week a way for drinkers to celebrate their love for an expertly mixed concoction, organisers took votes from both the public and trade to identify and award the best cocktail bars and bartenders in the city.

For 2015, there were 50 different bars involved in Bristol Cocktail Week, but two venues stood out: Red Light and Her Majesty's Secret Service (HMSS).

Red Light, the secretive, retro drinking den on Unity Street, was named 'Bristol's Best Cocktail Bar' and 'Best Bar Team', while in-house mixologist Will Garnett picked up the award for 'Best Bartender'.

HMSS, which opened just a few months ago near Clifton Down station, was recognised for 'Bristol's Best Cocktail List' and 'Best Atmosphere'.

Elsewhere, Clifton speakeasy Hausbar won 'Best Service', while The Milk Thistle won 'Best Ambience and Style'.

The Gallimaufry on Gloucester Road was named as 'Best Neighbourhood Bar' and The Ox 'Best Restaurant Bar'.
