House music and hip-hop heroes, D&B dons and some crazy kids with a boxing ring - they're all in this week's round-up of Bristol's best club nights...

Apex Presents Dusky, Saturday, Motion, £20
Catch one of house music’s biggest acts playing for four whole hours at Motion this Saturday, as London production and DJ duo Dusky bring their bass-licked sound to Bristol. Support comes from Swamp81 hot young thing Paleman and the Apex collective.

Upper Echelon, Friday, Start The Bus, Baldwin Street, £3
Think centre of town on a Friday night, then think R&B and hip hop and you’d be forgiven for recoiling at the idea of sticky floors, Primark swag and bad attitudes. Upper Echelon is here to change that, inviting London/LA outfit Southern Hospitality along for a night of quality hip hop, R&B, bashment, grime and the rest.

Intrigue 12th Birthday, Friday, Dojo, Park Row, £5-£7
After an impressive 12 years of promoting D&B’s deeper, more soulful and credible shades, Intrigue celebrates at Dojo on Friday with extended opening hours and two legendary talents. Exit Records bossman dBridge plays for three hours and the DJ’s DJ, Randall, rolls out a history set like only he can.

The Dance-Off Soundsystem, Friday, Big Chill, Small Street, Free
Living and going out in Bristol can feel a lot like being at a festival more often than not, so go all out at Big Chill on Friday, and join Boomtown and SGP favourites The Dance-Off for a ‘lovers special’. Expect breakdance dating, a blind date dance off and all their usual mania.
