It's a quiet week by Bristol clubbing standards, with no house and techno to be seen (or heard) anywhere. Fear not, though - there are still plenty of places to shake off the working week, with world class reggae and D&B on offer and some of the city's finest local reggae and hip-hop DJs playing in two of the city's best bars.

The Blast presents: Ramjam, Marble Factory, Friday March 13, £10-£15, 22.00-05.00
Ramjam is the regular touring party put on by legendary sextagenarian reggae selector David Rodigan. On Friday, it touches down at Marble Factory for its latest Bristol instalment. Rodi will be playing for two hours, joined by UK dancehall/reggae vocalist Stylo G and jungle/D&B icon DJ Randall.

Kinetic, Basement 45, Saturday March 14, £6-£8, 22.00-04.00
Top-drawer D&B at Basement 45 on Friday, courtesy of the team at Kinetic. Russian producer Enei will be bringing his inimitable brand of dark funk to the intimate city-centre venue, joined by legendary production duo AI and D&B veteran DJ Fierce.

Sip The Juice, Big Chill, Saturday March 14, free before 23.00, £3 after
Bristol’s premium hip hop clique Sip The Juice return to Big Chill on Saturday night for a serious party. Expect hip hop and R&B bangers all night long. Strangely, it’s over 21s only, so if you’re below that, head to Rhyme & Reason at Exchange.

Reggae Sunday, Cosie’s, Sunday March 15, £2/£3
If you live in Bristol, but have never made it to Cosie’s for one of their legendary Sunday evening sessions, then make this the weekend you change that. General Hi-Fi and Colonel V will be bringing the vibes to Cosie’s no-nonsense system – the perfect way to wind down your weekend.
