From April 18 until September 6 this year, artist Luke Jerram ran his art installation 'Withdrawn', which saw a flotilla of five fishing boats eerily abandoned amongst the trees of Leigh Woods.
On their own, these boats were cause for plenty of thought-provoking discussion, but over the duration of their stay they also allowed for many creative collaborations.
Two-wheeled Drive In
As well as providing an opportunity for the photographers of Bristol to capture a unique album cover, fashion shoot or film a music video, Withdrawn was also used as a backdrop for a performance of 'The Tempest', as a venue for an outdoor screening of 'Jaws', and the stage for more than one group of singers.
What, though, is going to become of the boats now the art installation is over? Well, it appears that they're all going to have exciting new lives, in suitably unconventional ways, after being given away by Jerram to several local organisations.
Most of the boats will live on in new roles entertaining children - the largest boat, Seahorse, will form part of a children's play area at Washingpool Farm in Easter Compton, while the smallest boat, Martha, will be added to the playground at Victoria Park Primary School in Bedminster.

Another boat, Gloria Jean, is set to become a pirate ship play area in an Iron Acton meadow – but only after a local community group forced councillors to overturn their decision not to accept the boat on health and safety grounds.
At one point, it was thought that the boat named Grey Gull was going to be recommissioned for a life back at sea - but it's actually been cut in half and turned into a cocktail bar by the Old Bookshop in Southville
The final boat, Joanne Marie, will be the only one to make it out of Bristol, finding a new home at Brocksmoor Hotel in Bude, Cornwall.
