Before we start to get excited about a packed programme of celebrations for Bristol Beer Week (which starts September 19), there's another a date that you should all put in your calendar first: Factoberfest 2015.

Hosted by Bristol Beer Factory in collaboration with the Tobacco Factory, over the weekend of September 11-13, this year's Factoberfest will be showcasing a massive range of beers both from Bristol and around the country.

At the last count, there was an impressive list of 60 beers to sample, from local Bristol breweries including Beerd, Butcombe, Left Handed Giant, Rocket Science, New Bristol Brewery, Wiper and True, and, of course Bristol Beer Factory.

Other nearby breweries on the list include Tiny Rebel from Newport and The Incredible Brewing Co. from Bath, along with breweries that are gaining a reputation up and down the country such as Magic Rock, Five Points and Ilkley Brewery.

Of course, there will be things to enjoy beyond the craft beers, such as the outdoor music stage playing blues, roots, country and Americana over the weekend.

There will also be a great selection of street food, curated by the Bristol Eats collective. Menus are yet to be confirmed but The Feastie Boys, Moorish, Eat like a Greek, Ah-Ma's Dumplings, The Little Taqueria and La Bonne Crepe will be attempting to ‘beer-match’ their dishes to the ideal ale.
