Wahaca brings a fresh taste of Mexico to Bristol

Hugely popular London eatery Wahaca has announced its much anticipated Bristol restaurant will open this July, promising to bring fresh Mexican market and street food to the West Country at only its second store outside the capital.

If Mexican food conjures images of greasy tortilla chips, lead-heavy burritos and throat-scorching tequila, then think again. Wahaca has built its rep by serving only the freshest dishes, made from specialist and responsibly sourced ingredients in an environment that reflects the colourful vibrancy of the streets of Mexico.

Expect pork pibil and fish tacos, ultra fresh lime-laced guacamole and searing shots of 100% agave tequila, in a restaurant that promises to be the chain's most eco-friendly and site-specific to date, built from sustainable materials and fully decorated by an as-yet unnamed local graff artist.

Wahaca Bristol, located on the Triangle in Clifton, will open in July. Keep an eye on Time Out Bristol and the Wahaca website for more info.
