Why watch one gig in an evening when you could watch 20 in three hours?

Musicians on the Run is a gig like no other, which will see 20 bands and artists performing 15 minute sets before heading off to another of the 15 different venue locations across Bedminster's East Street, West Street and North Street.

Billed as the 'biggest free gig south of the river', the musicians are hoping to use their short slot as an opportunity to impress the crowds, with the most popular act of the day awarded a £250 cash prize. Plus, one lucky voter could win £100, too.

Starting at 3pm, Musicians on the Run will be hosted at a curious mixture of venues...

Along with eating and drinking venues like Cafe Grounded, Viva La Mexicana, The Steam Crane, The Spotted Cow, The Hen and Chicken, The Lounge, the Tobacco Factory, Margot May, The Old Bookshop and The Assembly are some slightly more unusual destinations. These include Taunton Leisure, Windmill Hill City Farm, Wilkos and Cardiac Cards

The musicians confirmed to take part are an equally eclectic bunch, including trios Broken Wheels and Pigs Might Fly, duo No Strings Attached, blues from Owain Whatley and Joee Johnson, as well as Aaron DouglasBig Tom, Callie JayChris Stanley and Ellie Larke.

You'll also get to hear 'hairy storyteller' Geoff Pugh, folk funk from Jasper Storey, acoustic pop from Sarah Proudfoot and Vic Allen, not forgetting Jack Fox-WilliamsJoe ProbertPolly Rorison, Red Ray and the Waterfront Buskers.

So, audiences can either take the opportunity to do a bit of shopping and drinking around Bedminster, or settle in at a favourite spot to watch the musical talent as it rotates and cast a vote for your favourite.
