Six weeks ago, the Floating Cinema set off from London - and the boat that is also a movie screening room finally arrived in Bristol this week, moored opposite Spoke & Stringer on the Floating Harbour.

The Floating Cinema will be in the city for five days, presenting a programme of open-air and on-board film screenings, performances, talks and events that have specially created to celebrate the waterways of the South East and West of England.

During the boat's journey through its 11 stops, starting at Brentford Lock and calling in a destinations including Reading Newbury, Devizes, Bradford-on-Avon, Bath and of course Bristol, the Floating Cinema has shown a special selection of movies that celebrate the rich diversity of urban and rural living, while discovering local landscapes and heritage through a mix of new and archive footage.
