We're often told to put our money where our mouth is, and we Bristolians will soon be able to do just that at an innovative event where success at the card table determines how much you pay for your meal.

Earlier this year, the PokerStars UK and Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT) launched the 'All-In Kitchen' in London, a sell-out event that introduced hungry card sharks to the world's first 'pay-by-poker' restaurant.

From July 27-29, the event will be heading to Bristol, as the All-In Kitchen partners with Spanish restaurant Pata Negra, just off Corn Street.

To play their way to a complimentary three-course meal, eight diners take part in a free-to-participate three-hand game of poker. At the end of the game, the player with the most amount of chips will be treated to dinner on the house. The runner-up and third place players will receive a £10 and £5 discount from their food bill respectively.

The event – a precursor to the UKIPT tournament at the Rainbow Casino from August 6-9 – will have a poker theme, with Pata Negra curating a special menu. Diners will be able to feast on 'Big Blind Iberico Meats', 'Three of a Kind Sweet Pepper, Cougette and Aubergine Skewer with Romesco Sauce' and 'The Pot – Dark Chocolate with Olive and Rosemary Shortbread'.

The All-In Kitchen welcomes players of all skill aged 18 or over. The event is free to enter and no money needs to wagered. Visit the website find out more or book a place.
