Newsom started her musical ventures at the tender age of 5 after asking her parents for harp lessons, before some years later she found herself opening for the likes of Will Oldham and Cat Power.
It didnt't take long for her upbeat and ethereal indie folk to begin making waves, and after signing to label Drag City she released debut album 'Milk-Eyed Mender' in 2004, and a critically acclaimed follow-up 'Ys' in 2006.
Now, though, she's on album number four, 'Divers', which brings her to ours shores this November.
