Nick Mulvey is a musician, singer and songwriter who until 2011 was part of the Mercury Award-nominated Portico Quartet, when he played a type of steel drum invented in Switzerland called the Hang.
Nowadays, though, Mulvey operates as a solo folk and alternative rock artist who specialises in guitar, after being inspired by his Cuban and Congolese guitar tutors whilst studying music and art in Havana.
His debut album, 'First Mind', is out now.
