One of the most distinctive voices ever to rattle its way through the jazz scene, Louis Armstrong remains an icon as both singer and trumpet player.
In a show that promises access to some of Satchmo’s original big-band compositions that haven’t been played since 1947, The Louis Armstrong Story features a 17-piece band made up of Bristol’s best musicians, joined by guest vocalists and soloists from New Orleans, along with actor Clarke Peters reading from Armstrong’s autobiography and personal letters.
