United We Stand

A new play brings to life the story of the thousands of building workers who won the first industry strike for better pay and conditions in 1972. The small cast focuses on the series of events that lead to the imprisonment of workers Des Warren and Eric 'Ricky' Tomlinson, accompanied by Tomlinson’s poems from his time in prison and the popular and political songs of the era.
