In partnership with Bristol Festival of Ideas, Novel Writers is a series of informal talks showcasing new writers and great books, each discussing their work whilst exploring theme, structure and the craft of writing.
This June, writer and journalist Jonathan Gibbs discusses 'Randall', a satirical alternative history of the Cool Britannia years and the emergence of the Young British Artists.
Whilst his short story ‘The Story I’m Thinking Of’ was shortlisted for the White Review Short Story Prize in 2013 and ‘The Faber Book of Adultery’ has been anthologised in Best British Short Stories 2014, the London-based Gibbs also writes about books for The Independent, The Guardian and The Times Literary supplement.
