Time Out says

Here’s one for history buffs, as Peter Fleming, Professor of History at UWE, makes his way to M Shed on the 800th anniversary of the Magna Carta to discuss the role of ‘Bad King John’.  As part of the UWE Regional History Centre and M Shed seminar series, the session begins with the expansion of the Gascon wine trade and ends with the civil engineering projects that took place in the 1240s, which included the new deep-water harbour, new bridges and town walls and the reclamation of marshland around Bristol’s original site.
