Dogs and cats are no longer just “pets”: they’re part of the family. And Buenos Aires gets it. The city is full of creative proposals that go beyond the typical walk around the park: pet-friendly hotels, restaurants that welcome animals — check out our top picks — yoga classes with pets, organized walks, workshops, and many other experiences designed to share with them.

The best part? These experiences also change us. Because when we choose to give them quality time, we’re also giving ourselves a gift: we relax, break away from routine, and deepen a connection that, as we know, words can’t fully describe.

Choosing activities that prioritize their wellbeing is also a way of showing how much we love them. We’ve put together a list of fun, thoughtful, and responsible activities to enjoy with your pet in Buenos Aires.

Yoga with Pets

Yoga With Them is the first experience of its kind in Argentina — and the only one of its kind internationally — combining yoga with dogs in a project with a social mission. The initiative promotes responsible adoption while actively supporting shelters and rescuers.

What started almost a year ago as a dream has now become a huge success. Nicole Yerien, the founder, along with yoga instructor Carla Scaramuzza, fondly recall the early days: commitment, love, and connection are the words that define this experience.

Beyond relaxation and connection, you can also help — or even adopt — right there during the class. Yes, you might meet your next family member during a session. Because adoption is love, and caring is commitment.

What are the yoga sessions like?

Each event includes three sessions per day, with limited spots for 15 to 20 participants each. The sessions last about an hour, and there’s a 45-minute break between them so the dogs can rest. First comes the yoga class (with adoptable dogs — both puppies and adults), followed by a free play session and interaction. The event ends with a presentation from the participating shelter.

Part of the ticket price goes directly as a donation to the shelter. Besides promoting physical and emotional wellbeing, Yoga With Them acts as a bridge for potential adopters to meet their future pet — with full support and guidance from the shelter.

Important: If you already have a pet, you can't bring them. The activity is meant to foster new adoptions and create that special first encounter with a potential new companion.

Although similar experiences exist abroad, Yoga With Them is a pioneer in Argentina, driven by a strong social mission. Each session raises awareness about adoption, supports foster homes, and amplifies positive impact. And if you already have a pet, maybe it’s time to welcome a new one.

Upcoming sessions will be held in Palermo, and the plan is to rotate through different spaces to reach more shelters and people. Updated info on dates and locations can be found on their social media and WhatsApp channel. Tickets are available here, and spots sell out fast — so stay tuned!

Celebrate Your Pet’s Birthday

Recently opened in Caballito, Rubí Café has already won the hearts of pet lovers who can’t imagine plans without their furry friends. Designed to welcome every family member — humans and dogs alike — it’s the new go-to place to celebrate your pet’s birthday. A one-of-a-kind space made for everyone.

The idea was born from the bond between Camila De Camargo Aranha and her Golden Retriever, Rubí, and a need many share: finding a space where you can truly enjoy time with your pet.

Together with a team of specialists, he offers one of the city’s most comprehensive and up-to-date dog trainer certification programs. The dog trainer program is divided into three four-month levels, combining theory and practice: one weekly online theory class, one online practice class with your pet, and one in-person class in the park.

In addition to training future dog educators, the school also works with dogs and families in need of expert help. They offer individual sessions for behavior and socialization issues, and organize enrichment experiences like brain games, scent mats, and sensory toys — all in a park that feels like doggy Disneyland — plus specially designed walks for reactive dogs who need calm environments without crowds. It’s all about helping dogs live better. And, of course, their humans too.

Key detail: all classes are one-on-one. At their Villa Ballester location, they see one dog per appointment, and guardians are actively involved in the process — it’s not about dropping your dog off, but learning and building together.
