The best gift for Dad? A plan together. Instead of going for the usual tie or a box of wine, this Father’s Day create an experience you can share. From jumping on trampolines to ice skating or having a Disney-style afternoon snack, here are 10 ideas to have an amazing time with your dad (or with your kids, if you’re the dad). Because what remains isn’t the gift, but the memory.

1. Visit Altitude Trampoline Park

If you loved jumping on trampolines as a kid, know that Altitude is the 2.0 version of those places you knew. You can dive into foam pits, battle your kid on a padded beam to see who falls first, jump on trampolines—and even walk on walls! It’s fun at any age.

Tip: They offer good discounts, 3-for-2 promos, and family packs.

Where: Av. Monroe 1699.

2. Try the Churros at La Giralda

This iconic café founded in 1930 is a classic on Corrientes Street, famous for its churros with chocolate. La Giralda is great for bringing your dad or kids for three main reasons: first, they say this place has the power to turn an ordinary day into a memorable one. Second, the traditional atmosphere is definitely different from what you’re used to, and you’ll be surprised! Third, being just a few meters from the Obelisk, your snack quickly becomes a whole outing.

Tip: The churros dipped in chocolate are also amazing. Order both!

Where: Av. Corrientes 1453.

3. Take a Ride on the Historic Caballito Tram

Ready to travel back in time? The tram, which was part of Buenos Aires’ urban landscape for over 100 years, stopped running in 1963. However, in the 1980s, the Friends of the Tram Association revived it, offering 20-minute rides through Caballito.

Every detail is carefully thought out—from the conductor’s traditional uniform to ticket delivery and vintage carriages. Ideal for seniors who still remember the tram, and also for kids who love vehicles (so, everyone).

Tip: It’s free and no reservation is needed, just queue at the stop. Runs only Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Check their website for schedules by season.

Where: José Bonifacio y Emilio Mitre.

4. Have Lunch at Disney (Well, in Palermo)

Colorful milkshakes and waffles inspired by Disney characters for the kids, and amazing specialty coffee with mouse ear latte art for the adults: all at Orlandito Coffee. The best part? The themed decor, charming for all ages. On special dates, characters often appear to interact with kids and adults.

Tip: To make it even more fun for little ones, order a “happy box,” which includes 2 cookies and colorful icing for decorating, plus a muffin and a hot chocolate or fresh juice. So they get to snack on their own creations.

5. Play Golf at Driving Norte

If you’ve never played, at Driving Norte parents and kids can take their first steps together in golf. Private lessons are available; ask on Instagram for advice. Kids have a golf school organized by Future Golfers. Meanwhile, you can take a class or enjoy a coffee at Oli&Co bar, overlooking the driving range. Golf clubs can be rented there, and parking is free.

Tip: It’s a great escape from the city hustle. You’ll love breathing fresh air smelling like freshly cut grass, with green and blue horizon views, all without leaving Buenos Aires.

Where: Av. Int. Cantilo y La Pampa.

6. Go Bowling at Paloko

A game? A sport? A champion’s challenge? Bowling is a fantastic plan for kids and adults, so several generations of dads and kids can go. The more, the merrier the competition!

At Paloko, you can pick a lane, put on special shoes, order delicious pizza and drinks, and spend hours knocking down as many pins as you can. Note: they don’t take reservations. To avoid long waits, especially on weekends, choose the Belgrano branch with 18 lanes and plenty of space.

Tip: Did you know Paloko was Buenos Aires’ first bowling alley with automatic lanes? Founded in 1980 as a family business, it still is today.

Where: Av. Cabildo 454 and Av. San Martín 2269.

7. Explore Buenos Aires on the Tourist Bus

An awesome plan: on the Buenos Aires Bus, your kids will get to know their city better, learning how neighborhoods differ, where things are, and the rich architecture and culture we have. Going with your dad? He’ll love it too—seeing our city from above is a must.

The hop-on hop-off system lets you get off and on as many times as you want during your ticket’s validity (24 or 48 hours).

Three key tips: First, choose a nice day because you’ll love sitting on the open-air top deck. Second, chat with tourists to see Buenos Aires through different eyes. Third, you don’t have to listen to every audio guide, but they’re great for catching interesting facts and stories.

Where: Departs from Av. Quintana 596.

8. Ice Skate at Margal Caballito

Margal is in the same spot where Winter used to be, remember? If you went as a kid or teen, now you can take your kids to skate with you. No reservations. Open daily from 1 pm.

Tip: At night it fills with teens and the music is loud, party-style. So if you have little kids, better go earlier.

9. Visit the Science Cultural Center

This plan is aimed at young kids. The Science Cultural Center is designed so kids learn while having fun—from the mysterious box that seems to contain a dinosaur greeting you at the entrance to fun games that help explain physical, biological, and other phenomena. Entry is free, and on weekends there are workshops like scientists’ club, video game programming, or paleontology.

Tip: It’s next to the Science Park, a green space with very original playgrounds you can visit after the museum. It’s worth trying the rides yourself (but watch out, some have weight or height limits).

Where: Godoy Cruz 2270.

10. Go to a Spider-Man Escape Room at Escape Juniors

At Escape Juniors Flores branch, there are two amazing options for your kids’ first escape room: one inspired by Spider-Man, who’s been captured by the Green Goblin and you’ll help him escape; and another Avengers-themed, where you must stop Thanos before it’s too late. If your kids prefer Batman, go to the Belgrano branch. Got Harry Potter fans? Take them to Flores 2 branch. There are even more themed options on their website.

Where: Av. Rivadavia 6395 (sucursal Flores) / Av. Juan Bautista Alberdi 2020 (sucursal Flores 2) / Echeverría 2490 (sucursal Belgrano) / Zuviría 275 (sucursal Caballito).
