Alejandra Gardenal and Sergio Herrlein are behind Cabañas Chic, which they designed specifically for couples looking for a few peaceful days together. “The nice thing about Sierra de los Padres is that you're in a very peaceful place, surrounded by nature and lots of greenery, while also being just half an hour from Mar del Plata. You can get away, relax and enjoy the peace and quiet, but if you feel like going into the city at some point, you have everything Mar del Plata has to offer just minutes away,” Alejandra says.

The complex has two cabins designed exclusively for couples: Bambú and Cascada. They're located on the same property and keep things small to preserve privacy: no more than four guests stay there at any given time, except in certain cases, such as couples traveling with a baby.

To make the stay even more special, guests can add different extras to their booking, from champagne and charcuterie boards to wine and other personalized touches. Some packages are already available, but they can also be customized according to each couple's preferences and budget.

Cabañas Chic welcomes couples who come to celebrate anniversaries, birthdays or even propose marriage. “We've been asked to prepare the room with roses, personal notes and details to surprise the other person. Receiving those thank-you messages afterward is very moving,” says Alejandra.

About 120 kilometers from Buenos Aires, near San Antonio de Areco, La Bamba is one of those getaways where the landscape and history are part of the experience. One of Argentina's oldest estancias, restored and converted into a boutique hotel, it preserves the spirit of the Buenos Aires countryside while adding food, comfort and an experience designed to slow things down.

La Bamba also has a cinematic side: the film Camila, one of the classics of Argentine cinema, was shot here, adding an extra attraction for those interested in history and art. In the heart of Palermo Soho, behind a door, there's a small oasis with a cinematic history of its own. Francis Ford Coppola stayed at this house while filming Tetro and was so fascinated by the place that he decided to turn it into a boutique hotel.

There are just seven rooms, spread throughout different areas of the house and personally named by the director. One of them is the Superior Cortázar, inspired by the Argentine writer. But the real gem is outside: a three-level garden, lush and quiet, that seems to put several kilometers between you and the noise of Palermo.
