Located in Las Cañitas, Runfla is one of those restaurants that instantly earns a spot on the must-visit list for anyone who loves sharing small plates, discovering unexpected flavors and embracing creative cooking. The project was born from a simple yet ambitious idea: to create a restaurant that always leaves you wanting to come back.

Its name is no coincidence. In lunfardo (Buenos Aires slang), runfla refers to a group of people gathered around a common purpose. Here, that purpose is the table. That spirit of togetherness runs through every aspect of the experience, from the kitchen to the atmosphere.

The cuisine combines solid technique, deep respect for ingredients and a constant search for flavors that strike the perfect balance between comfort and surprise. The menu is divided into snacks, medium plates, mains and desserts, making it ideal for sharing with friends or enjoying over a date night. There is something for everyone, but every dish has one thing in common: creativity.

We started with one of the menu's standouts: dates stuffed with sweetbread pâté, crispy shiso, caramelized nuts and a touch of wasabi. It's a bite that perfectly captures the restaurant's philosophy—taking familiar ingredients in unexpected directions to create something both original and addictive.

Next came the braised mushrooms, served with a vegetable demi-glace and cauliflower purée, where texture takes center stage and every element feels perfectly balanced. We also tried the humita, topped with goat cheese foam, green curry, capers and toasted white chocolate.

Among the house favorites is the panisse—crispy fried chickpea sticks with English cheddar, reminiscent of fainá, making for an irresistible snack. The marinated prawns with coconut rice and brown butter cream are another must-order. There are also several vegetarian and gluten-free options, thoughtfully crafted with the same creativity, attention to detail and care as the rest of the menu.

The cocktail list deserves special mention. Popular choices include the Tropical Penicillin, Runfla Vermouth and the Runfla Spritz. Even better, they're designed to pair seamlessly with the food, making it very easy to order another round.

Just when you think the meal couldn't get any better, dessert arrives: profiteroles filled with pistachio ice cream, served with warm chocolate sauce and almond praline.

Runfla manages to move away from fine-dining formality without ever feeling casual or improvised. Its concept is refreshingly straightforward: cook exceptionally well, blend influences without limitations and turn the table into the perfect excuse to stay longer than planned.

Designed in collaboration with architect María Emilia de la Torre, the space combines soft lighting, semi-industrial aesthetics and warm materials to create a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. More than a traditional restaurant, Runfla is a versatile destination—it works just as well for a romantic dinner, a long meal with friends or cocktails at the bar. With its creative cuisine, signature drinks and shareable menu, Runfla confirms its place as one of the restaurants truly worth visiting in Las Cañitas.
