The world of television movies will tell you that a Christmas without snow is not really Christmas at all... if you can make it through the bad acting that is.
Bah humbug!
We think Cape Town is the place to be when the Festive Season rolls around, with the glorious sunshine, amazing beaches, stunning winelands and endless activities making for an amazing celebration... with the added bonus of not needing to wear five layers of clothing.
Thankfully, our thoughts have been echoed in a new list from Time Out Travel, which showcases the best places to spend your Christmas holidays.
While Cape Town may have only ranked 19th on the list (we strongly disagree on that placement), it's great to see our city recognised amongst a whole host of cities that provide the snowy adventure those bad holiday movies make look so incredible.
Santa Claus' hometown of Lapland in Finland is naturally on the list, along with the likes of Bruges in Belgium, Zagreb in Croatia and Colmar in France.
