Your complete guide to the best of the Mother City, from Friday, 26 June to Sunday, 28 June!

A big well done to all the parents for making it to the end of another school term. To kick off the school holidays, there is a full lineup of events happening in and around the city this weekend, with plenty for parents to enjoy, too.
We have also rounded up some of the best ways to keep the kids entertained over the break, helping to save your sanity and theirs along the way. This weekend in the Mother City brings a mix of raves, workshops, theatre, and of course, wine events.
Unfortunately, we are in for a wet and chilly weekend. But if there is one thing about Capetonians, it is that the weather rarely gets to decide the plans.

Hosted once a month at Time Out Market Cape Town, this series celebrates the very best of South Africa’s wine culture, paired with live music and a cosy atmosphere. Each ticket includes a glass and 10 tokens.
If you’re looking to get messy in the right way, this is your opportunity to learn cake decorating and the art of vintage piping. You will receive a tiered iced cake along with all the necessary tools and decorations, including a laminated practice sheet for piping. This hands-on workshop is a great way to try something new or refine your existing skills.
Who says raves are only for the weekend? Start your Friday on the right note with a coffee rave. Live DJs will provide feel-good vibes to help set the tone for your day and weekend.
Supported by The Unknown and Ultra Mal, Jack Parow brings high vibes and a whole lot of leopard print to the Southern Suburbs for one lekker night.
Peter Pan is bringing a sprinkle of fairy dust to Canal Walk, with kids aged two and up invited to join in on the fun. Killian Blerk will star as Peter Pan, Rachael Saunders as Wendy Darling, and Kaira Naidoo as Tinker Bell, while Jeremy Richard will take on the dual role of Mr Darling and the terrible Captain Hook.
For all the parents who’ve made it to the end of Term Two, you’ve earned this night out. Dancing, DJs, drinks, and no more thinking about packing lunch for the next few weeks.
With school holidays just around the corner and more time at home, this period can be both enjoyable and stressful, especially for single mothers without a community to jump in and assist. This event is about finding community in a safe space with others who have gone through similar struggles and experiences.
Gathered around a long table, hidden deep within the farm, the feast is served straight from the garden – an intimate experience rooted in connection and gratitude. Guests are to wear shades of nudes and rust.
From early afternoon into sunset, Bubbles & Beats is the space to unwind, celebrate, and move with the music, featuring a DJ line-up with Kyeezi, Liam Hans, and Masoodah. Your ticket includes a welcome drink on arrival and a JC Le Roux sparkling wine tasting.
