On Sunday 21 June, the artist performs the first single from her debut EP, RISE, live at Palaphita Cascais. Entry is free.

Next Sunday, 21 June, brings together the Summer Solstice and European Music Day – and LOBA is making the most of the timing to perform the first single from her debut EP, RISE, live. The concert takes place at Palaphita Cascais, at Casa da Guia, among the trees and with the sea right there beside you. Even better: entry is free.
LOBA is the artistic name of Joana Lobo Anta, a Cascais-born singer, DJ, MC and visual artist with more than three decades on stages across four continents – from Ibiza to New York, Bali to Luanda, via Morocco, Guatemala, Barcelona and plenty of other dots on the map. After years spent singing, mixing and creating in different formats, she is now releasing music under her own name for the first time.
The first single is called Onaya and lands on digital platforms on 19 June. Two days later, it will be presented live at Palaphita, in a concert where LOBA will perform the five original tracks from RISE – including four songs that will only be released over the following months, throughout summer and autumn.
The evening starts at 6.30pm and runs until 10pm, with Marwave as the guest artist. DJ and producer Ricardo Domingues, who has played at venues such as Jncquoi, Frou Frou and Pensão Amor, as well as festivals including NOS Alive and Super Bock Super Rock, joins the launch before LOBA returns to close the night in full party mode.
The event is free, outdoors, and welcomes dogs and children. Honestly, not a bad plan for a Sunday.
Palaphita Cascais, Casa da Guia, Cascais. Sun 21 Jun, 6.30pm-10pm. Free entry.
