The Estoril Arts Academy, housed in the iconic Edifício Cruzeiro, is dedicating a film cycle to directors David Lynch and Mel Brooks. Curated by film critic Vasco Menezes, the screenings will take place from 7 to 11 July – and entry is completely free.
On the Lynch side, expect Eraserhead (1977), The Elephant Man (1980), Blue Velvet (1986), Mulholland Drive (2001) and Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me (1992). From the wild, satirical world of Brooks, the programme includes The Producers (1967), The Twelve Chairs (1970), Blazing Saddles (1974), Young Frankenstein (1974) and High Anxiety (1977).
