300 Vegans 4 Cleveland's St. Patrick's Day Parade 2015

Hey Vegans! ARE YOU READY TO MAKE HISTORY by joining in the biggest, happiest, group of vegans in a parade this town has ever seen?! On Tuesday, March 17, 2015, We will march together as ONE VISUALLY UNIFIED VEGAN display in Cleveland's Saint Patrick’s Day Parade! We will march together to raise awareness of the vegan social justice movement! We will march together to connect others to our community of individuals who care about people, our planet and the animals! We know it's on a school day, but it's Saint Patrick's Day! So whether you take a vacation day, or play hooky, you just have to be there! This is not a protest. 300 Vegans 4 Cleveland's Saint Patrick’s Day Parade is our unique, friendly, invitational opportunity to present our message of peace and love to hundreds of thousands of people and connect with other CLE Vegans! VEGAN Compassion. Nonviolence. For the People. For the Planet. For the Animals. All vegan parade marchers will wear the Nonviolence United t-shirt (on the outside of our layers, as shown in the event photo) to present a unified image. We will carry banners bearing the same message. We encourage everyone to wear your St. Patrick's Day best &/or craziest accessories! Beads, hats, face paint, glitter and bling... whatever...it's all about having fun while celebrating the unity of our vegan community! •••T-shirt ordering is closed. If you don't have a shirt to wear, please wear a plain, solid-black crew neck tee or plain, solid-black crew neck sweatshirt on top of your warm layers. I will have the Vegan logo on labels / stickers that we can affix to the front of your shirts! We will all be in uniform!••• Order your t-shirt at the link below! All the Vegan love kept us warm, though! That and lots of layers, so grab your long johns or janes, and winter gear and layer-up under that Vegan shirt! Be ready to start your day off bright and early, as we prepare for the parade! We will meet at the Hampton Inn Cleveland for registration, t-shirt distribution, photo shoot, food and fun! Tentative Parade Day Timeline: (We will post updates and more details as we get closer to SPD) Tuesday, March 17, 2015 •10am to noon: Sign-in, introductions, breakfast, sign-making, photos, and t-shirt distribution at Hampton Inn Cleveland-Downtown •Noon: Parade line up (Our group will have a specific start time and line up location, which will be posted as soon as I receive the info.) •1:04 pm: Parade steps off at 18th and Superior. •3pm: After-Parade Shenanigans will take place at Pura Vida, located at 170 Euclid Ave, Cleveland, OH 44115. The walk from the end of the parade to Pura Vida is less than 5 minutes! For anyone wishing to come in to town the evening before, some of us are staying at the Hampton Inn Cleveland-Downtown the night before and the night after. We can accommodate a few extra people in our room. If interested in sharing, please contact Lucie Coll via Facebook for more information. Our uniform is the black Nonviolence United Vegan shirt. •No drinking of alcoholic beverages on the street. It is illegal and against parade rules. We do not want to be ejected from the parade, nor do we want to have to bail anyone out of jail for open containers. •We must maintain forward motion at all times, per parade rules. No stopping, not even to do a fun kick-line!
