Menci Clement Crnčić, A Retrospective

Menci Clemente Crnčić is being honoured with a new exhibition hosted by the Klovićevi dvori Gallery celebrating the 151^st anniversary of his birth, and marking 25 years since the last retrospective. It doesn’t matter if you’re familiar with this prodigious painter: the show gives good insight into his world and working techniques, displaying illustrations, posters, photographs and objects documenting his life. In particular, it’s worth noting Crnčić’s landscape paintings: see the Istrian peninsula as it was in the 19^th century.
