Time Out says

Back in the summer of 2013 Peter Croce Music Page got on Craigslist to upgrade his Numark turntables to some Technics 1200s. He met up with a guy named Ryan Dahl in a Tim Horton's parking lot to pick one up, and they quickly realized they had quite a bit in common. A few months later they kicked off the first †Sermon† at Temple Bar Detroit. It was such a success thanks to their super awesome friends that it became a monthly. And in what seems like a blink of an eye †Sermon† is celebrating its first birthday Friday March 13th, complete with cake, balloons, and your House music connection. An evening with Ryan Dahl and Peter Croce-- jack your body. ---- From Detroit to Chicago and Kingston to London, dance music was born out of celebration of diversity, struggle, equality, and unity. † Sermon † is "the music of our hearts, which is roots music-- music which recalls history because without without the knowledge of history you cannot determine your destiny. Music about the present because if you’re not conscious of the present you’re like a cabbage in this society." Come out for a party that touches your mind, body, and soul-- and bring your dancing shoes. 21+ to boogie $2 before midnight / $3 after midnight Peter Croce: [Rocksteady Disco] https://www.mixcloud.com/petercrocemusic Ryan Dahl [FSDY/Detroit]: https://soundcloud.com/ryan_dahl
