4th Annual Parducci Tribute says
Help us celebrate Corrado Parducci’s- or Joe, as he liked to be called - 117th birthday. Okay, so he was born on March 10th, no need to fact-check us on that, but we know he wouldn’t mind.

This event is not your average birthday party because while we will NOT be singing Happy Birthday, we will be partying at the Masonic Temple - Corrado’s first solo commission in Detroit and the pivotal project that launched his prolific career.

His work covers the interior of this massive building, from light fixtures and arches to medallions, plaster decorations and more. Seeing his impressive craftsmanship in the Masonic’s grand lobby is a must - you will feel like you are in a castle. In short, it is the perfect location to honor and appreciate a man who not only helped make Detroit beautiful, but made it his home.

An Italian immigrant, Corrado Parducci moved from New York City to Detroit in the 1920s at the behest of Albert Kahn and never left. And we are the lucky benefactors of this fact. Corrado completed over 600 commissions in his lifetime, the majority of which are in the metro Detroit area.

So join us in honoring Corrado Parducci during his birthday month while bringing much-deserved recognition to his artistic contributions to our city. You will enjoy light fare, drinks, music and tours of the building led by Masonic Temple docents.

Tickets are $55 for non-members and $45 for current members and can be purchased at Eventbrite. Last day to purchase tickets is March 22nd, so don't procrastinate.

You will get to laugh, dance and drink. You will get to hear great music from local string musicians, the Langley Traines Quartet. You will get to celebrate culture. You will get to honor an incredible man and appreciate his craft. You will help support an important cause.

Don’t miss this event. It really will be special.
