Artist's Studio Workshop Featuring Jocelyn Rainey

This hands-on workshop for adults and mature children will be facilitated by a Jocelyn Rainey. Rainey lives and works in Detroit, holds an M.A. in Painting from Wayne State University and has won numerous honors and awards, including the Vision and Excellence in the Arts Award from the National Conference of Artists. Rainey currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Wayne Count Council for the Arts, History and Humanities.

In this workshop, Rainey will help you create you own assemblage, a work of art constructed from a variety of materials, of your own choosing. The goal of the workshop is to help you to conjure stories into a meaningful personal statement through found objects and photos. Please bring to the workshop any materials or objects you might want to integrate into your work of art.
