ACCESS says
Many of the issues we faced throughout this year's presidential election were not new. Our communities have long dealt with racism, bigotry, Islamophobia and xenophobia. What we have learned is that, now, more than ever, our communities must come together to uphold our shared values of freedom and equality for all.

On Thursday, Nov. 17 at the Arab American National Museum | The Annex, join us for "Building Peace and Power: A Healing Space for Our Communities" to share your thoughts and concerns and hear from local organizers on what our next steps should be.

This space is open to the public (but closed to the media), and it is free to attend. Please share widely with your communities.

This community event has been organized by:
ACCESS, ACLU of Michigan, Asian Pacific Islander American Vote - Michigan, Cair Michigan, Congress of Communities, Detroit Hispanic Development Corporation, Detroit Jews for Justice, Emerge USA-Michigan, 482Forward, Jewish Family Service of Metro Detroit, MMCC - Michigan Muslim Community Council, Michigan United, MOSES, Muslim ARC - Muslim Anti-Racism Collaborative, National Action Network Michigan Chapter, One Michigan for Immigrant Rights, Sugar Law, TAKE ON HATE, BYP 100, Welcoming Michigan and more.
