Junction Hall says
The Junction Hall team is pleased to announce the closing reception of 48HR Experience! The reception will be held in the Dance Studio within Ponyride, a business incubator located in Corktown.

Three weeks ago, nine local artists lived and created in Junction Hall, previously 5629 Michigan Ave, for 48 hours straight. The micro residency format of 48HR encourages artists to refine their brand and consider their practice thoroughly from creation to display. Junction Hall aims to dissolve the barrier between studio and gallery to better connect the artist, audience, and space.

The opening reception for 48HR Experience exceeded projected art sales and brought record attendance! “This event was an awesome launch to an ongoing contribution to the artist community in Detroit,” says 48HR producer Wayne Ramocan, “Buy art and invite others to do the same.” The Junction Hall team sincerely invites you to a final viewing and to join in celebrating the success and legacy of 48HR Experience!

Junction Hall is in the process of relocating from its home in Southwest Detroit. Due to an unthinkable act of violence by one landlord of 5629 Michigan Ave. the team believes the space is no longer safe to occupy. Junction Hall does not condone violence of any kind and refuses to financially support those who participate in such activities. They continue to search for alternative exhibition spaces in the neighborhood. Junction Hall is grateful to Ponyride for providing a space for the closing reception of 48 HR.

The Junction Hall Team: Ernest Camel, Kristian Coleman, Monica Dubray, Logan Merry, Leah Rutt.
