Detroit Santarchy says
Santa is back from his summer vacation and ready to have some fun. This year we are going BIGGER and boy is Santa excited to get this years event started.

The event this year is held on Saturday December 17th and like years past we will be meeting to kick the party off at the Gaelic League Club of Detroit in wonderful Corktown.

For you new Santa's, this is a pub crawl through Corktown, Midtown, Eastern Market and Downtown Detroit with some 3,500+ people festively dressed as Santas, Mrs. Claus, Scrooge, Rudolph, the Grinch and all sorts of other Christmas holiday costumes. This is NOT a traditional christmas/holiday party. It's an overall irreverent celebration of everything crazy with Detroit.

Full Costumes are mandatory and if you happen to show up in an ugly Christmas sweater you will not be allowed to participate in Santa's reindeer games. Since this event started Santa suits have become very popular at Party City. Stop by and get one for cheap or creat your own.

This is the only official event page for Detroit Santarchy. Do not be confused by the others.

More details to follow such as the cost of tickets - and where to catch bus transportation from the burbs to the event as soon as those details are released!

The celebration starts at the Gaelic League Irish-American Club located on Michigan Avenue in Corktown with the opening ceremony. This is where you will be able to purchase your event pass and lanyard at the entrance. From the Gaelic League a fleet of rented buses await to sleigh you to the 12+ different pubs and clubs along the way. Stay at any pub or location as long as you like and move on as well anytime you like. Each venue will have bands, DJ's and more craziness.

More info to follow as we approach December.
