Freep Film Fest Insiders Theatre Tour With Preservation Detroit

Get a chance to go behind the scenes in one of Detroit’s historic theatres, the Fillmore! On Saturday March 21st, between film screenings, stop by the State Bar, located next to the Fillmore, to have some lunch and learn more about Detroit’s many historic theatres. Choose from one of three tour times between 1 and 4pm, where a docent will lead you on a tour of the theatre. Tours will last about 30-45 minutes. You will also be able to enjoy historical artifacts and info on display throughout the bar. Happy hour specials will be available to anyone who takes a tour! Pre-sale tickets are only $12. Tickets will also be available at the door the day of for $15, but to guarantee your spot, it’s best to get your ticket now! About the Freep Film Festival The second annual Freep Film Festival, March 19-22, features a bigger, more diverse lineup that will give attendees an inside look at the area’s arts, music, history, challenges and aspirations. Throughout the four days, there will be more than 20 programs, including six world premieres, one U.S. premiere and seven Michigan premieres. Every program will include further engagement – from panel discussions with directors and film stars, to musical performances, dance parties and more.
