WHAT THE HECK IS THIS?
We know there are never enough bike rides to go on in the summer. Especially ones where you can strip down to your skivvies, cover yourself in neon body paint and glitter, grab your ghetto blaster, and celebrate a summer excuse for near-nudity by bombing around the city with a bunch of people.

So we're changing that. It's more than a bike ride, more than a party. It's a movement.

Celebrate urban cycling, celebrate your badass bod, celebrate being fabulous, celebrate hot summer nights, and drink cold beers once we're done. Feel good, dress up, down, or mostly not at all.

Donations to be put towards the (minimal) cost of future Body Positive events will be graciously accepted, but this is a free event.

BODY POSITIVE IS A SAFE SPACE. The world isn’t, always, but for one night a month, let’s try to create a space and culture where we can feel free to revel in ourselves, to feel secure, free from harassment, objectification, shame, and insecurity. Let’s create a community that celebrates and supports every single individual in it. Everyone should feel confident, beautiful, capable, and safe. Life and people are complicated, though, and we don’t all experience the world in the same way. One person’s attempt at an uplifting compliment could be taken by another as creepy or objectifying, especially because we’re all next-to-naked. So please, think about it before you say or do it and if you feel like you’re getting creeped on TALK ABOUT IT THEN AND THERE. Let’s all recognize that sometimes we can learn to be better versions of ourselves. There is hope for a more inclusive, compassionate world, and it starts here…in your underwear.

BE SELF RELIANT; BE A NEIGHBOR. This is an unsupported ride. Please look out for yourself and look out for each other. This may mean calling out traffic and road hazards, assisting a fellow rider in need, corking intersections, bringing party supplies to share, putting some tunes on your bike, or just making sure your and your friends' bikes are in good working order pre-ride.

LEAVE NO TRACE or, LEAVE ONLY FOOTPRINTS (AND HAND-PRINTS, WITH CONSENT). If you bring it along, please either take it home with you or dispose of it responsibly. We WILL publicly shame you if we catch you littering! And if you see "matter out of place," pick it up! Why not! Let's give mother nature a hand, friends!

LIGHT UP! Your bikes *ahem* While we try to stick to relatively well-lit areas, the more lights on bikes, the better we can see road hazards and the better everyone ELSE can see our butts! Also pump up your tires and stuff, please!
