The Henry Ford says
Macy's 2nd Mondays in Greenfield for August: Little Engineers

What can your child expect to enjoy this month? Take a look!

Free Train Rides
Take a free train ride on the 3-mile route around the village, and experience one of our historic steam or diesel locomotives. Key stops along the way will give youngsters the opportunity to see the entire village. Wristbands given out at entrance gate. Must have wristband to ride.

Design an Engineer’s Bandanna (Outside Village Pavilion)
Learning about the life of an engineer can be lots of fun! This is your opportunity to make your very own train engineer’s bandanna to wear as you hop the train.

Design a Conductor’s Hat (Outside Village Pavilion)
Create your very own conductor’s hat to wear on the train and at home.

Sing-Along (Railroad Turntable)
Join Barry the Guitar Guy for some creative railroad sing-along songs. Take home a train whistle to keep as well.

Railroad Stories in the Village(Smiths Creek Depot)
Enjoy inspiring and “moving” train stories.

Introduce your preschool children to the wonders of The Henry Ford — all before nap time. Preschoolers rule during Macy's 2nd Mondays at The Henry Ford. Storytelling, live entertainment and dozens of hands-on activities related to some of our most memorable artifacts — trains, dollhouses, historic games, even a ride on our amazing Herschell-Spillman carousel. There are seasonal activities, too: Santa in December, Valentine's Day take-home artwork in February and 19th-century base ball in July (base ball was spelled as two words into the early 1900s). And it's all free for members or with paid admission to Greenfield Village! Give your children's minds the adventure of their young lives.
