Directed by Kelly Komlen Starring Joshua Robert Brown, Katie Fullerton, Vanessa Sawson, and Dez Cortez Crenshaw Based on the book by Osha Gray Davidson, Best of Enemies tells the true story of C.P. Ellis, a Grand Cyclops of the KKK, and Ann Atwater, an African-American civil rights activist. It's 1971 in Durham, North Carolina and the city's public schools are in the process of desegregation. While Ellis and Atwater share a hatred for one another, they are surprised to find themselves on the same side of a major dispute. Are they capable of overcoming their mutual deep-seated loathing for each other to be able to work together towards the best outcome? This true historical occurrence tells the story of two people who have been poisoned by prejudice that are forced to confront the best and worst in themselves with surprising results.
