Pieced Together Opening Reception says
Curated by Gary Eleinko
In the early twentieth century, new ways of art came about with Dada and Cubism. The art of construction, assemblage, and collage was born. Mid-century artists also explored this concept in new and exciting ways. In Detroit, the Cass Corridor art ethic centered around the found object and alternative materials. These methods continue to flourish today, and with Pieced Together we feature 12 metropolitan artists utilizing these methods. Works range from the sublime and poetic, to the nostalgic, and to the chaotic and turbulent.

PARTICIPATING ARTISTS Chad Champnella, Doug Cannell, Matt Corbin, Christine Hagedorn, Brigette Neal, Scott Northrup, Joan Painter Jones, Tom Pyrzewski, Sharon Que, John Rowland, Ann Smith, Larry Zdeb
