Isaac Agree Downtown Synagogue says
The Isaac Agree Downtown Synagogue (IADS), 1457 Griswold in Detroit, is inviting rabbinical candidates to the synagogue to lead a series of Shabbat weekend services. The synagogue has been lay-led since 2001, when Rabbi Noah Gamze retired after decades of service to the congregation. Today, IADS is thriving with an active membership of over 300 and hosts a variety of programming, social events, and volunteer opportunities.

In 2015, IADS made a commitment to hire a spiritual leader as part of its strategic planning efforts. Since then, the synagogue’s lay-led rabbinical search committee narrowed down a large pool of candidates from across the country to two rabbis who will lead services on the weekends of May 6th and May 13th in order to solicit feedback and recommendations from IADS’ congregation.

IADS welcomes and encourages the public to join them on the weekends of May 6th and May 13th at their historic site located on the corner of Clifford and Griswold in the heart of Capitol Park.
