Join us for our first exhibition of 2016 with our Friends of Friends show. This is a locally curated exhibition showcasing works of art from several House of Art alumni and their invited friends.
The public gallery opening is Saturday, March 5 from 7-10pm.This exhibition is free & open to the public of all ages. Complimentary water and Red Bull will be provided.

The Red Bull House of Art is a beacon of cultural innovation in Detroit that gives wings to artists creating worldclass work. The House of Art spotlights, nurtures, and develops artists through an artistinresidency program and communityfocused programming including gallery shows, artist talks, and practical demonstrations.
In 2011, the Red Bull House of Art broke ground inside the Eastern Market in Detroit, Michigan. Over the past five years, the house has held 11 unique gallery openings, which have featured 80+ local artists. Events at the house have been featured in The New York Times, CNBC, The Huffington Post, Reddit and even earned its own WORBcommercial spot.
As we enter year 5, we are proud to introduce an expanded artistinresidency program. This year, we will welcome select artists from around the country to take up official residency inside our renovated loft space to work for three months. Each residency will welcome a carefully curated group of three national artists who will fully immerse themselves into the Detroit community for a threemonth period, i.e. three artists each for three months in three separate groups. Throughout the residency, the house will also program a series of communityfocused events, local exhibitions and lectures, concluding with a curated gallery showcase from the residents. We invite you to take advantage of the house and bring guests to Detroit to see the space and participate in the thriving culture of Detroit.
