Drilling in the Arctic? Oh, sHELL no!

We are at a critical moment in the fight to save America's Arctic. We only have days left to convince the president to deny Shell's permit, and we need your help! That's why we're holding a nationwide day of action on July 18.

In Michigan, we know all too well that when dirty fuels, such as oil, leave the ground it affects our quality of life. In 2010, over 800,000 gallons of oil spilled and polluted the Kalamazoo River. In southwest Detroit, an oil refinery pollutes the air people breathe and contributes to the high rates of asthma and other respiratory illnesses people suffer from in the most polluted zip code in the state.

Bottom line - we need to keep dirty fuels in the ground here at home and up in the Arctic. Get in on the action in Detroit on July 18th!

As of today, here are the event details (more details to come):
WHEN: Saturday, July 18 at 12pm EST
WHERE: Fort Street bridge in font of Marathon’s Oil Refinery

Parking is available on side streets: Waring, Stocker, Pleasant, Patricia.

Join us to demand clean air and energy!
