An Evening with ASLE
Thursday, June 22, 7:30-10pm
Admission: Free ($5 suggested donation)

Join us for an evening of discussion and poetry related to the environmental humanities and arts. Activists from diverse groups involved in Detroit’s environmental struggles will present a panel discussion entitled Radical Urban Ecology and the Great Incinerator Fight: A Detroit Tale. A poetry reading by some of Detroit’s most wonderfully subversive poets follows the discussion.

This program is presented in association with Twelfth ASLE (The Association for the Study of Literature and Environment) Biennial Conference which takes place at Wayne State University from June 20-24. Visit for information about the conference. ASLE seeks to inspire and promote intellectual work in the environmental humanities and arts through the creation of an inclusive community whose members are committed to environmental research, education, literature, art and service, environmental justice, and ecological sustainability.
