The N'namdi Center Atelier Curatorial Lecture Series With Rebecca Hart says
The N'Namdi Center announces the N'Namdi Atelier Curatorial Lecture Series, which will begin on Saturday afternoons in April 2015. Featuring a diverse array of voices from the museum community, the lecture series will focus on behind-the-scenes insight to museum practices, and what it takes to plan and curate museum exhibitions.

On Saturday, April 11th, we welcome the Detroit Institute of Arts's Associate Curator of Contemporary Art Rebecca Hart.

Rebecca Ruth Hart is the associate curator of contemporary art for the Detroit Institute of Arts. She was the organizing curator for Shirin Neshat’s mid-career retrospective Detroit (2013) and Seoul, Korea (2014). Hart facilitated Matthew Barney's Detroit-based performances SEKHU and KHU (2009-10), now part of Barney’s RIVER OF FUNDAMENT film. At the DIA she was the organizing co-curator for Julie Mehretu: City Sitings (2007-08) and Artists Take on Detroit: projects for the tricentennial (2001-02) and curator for Action Reaction (2009-10) and more than ten other exhibitions. Hart was a member of the curatorial team that organized Here. (2011), an exhibition at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts that examined regionalism in the twenty-first century. She was project manager and curator for the reinstallation of the DIA contemporary collection and specializes in public art and large-scale sculpture. Hart graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in art history from Williams College and a Bachelors of Fine Arts, fiber, from Kansas City Art Institute.
