Time Out says

An unapologetically flamboyant gay bar with unforgettable cabaret and drag queen performances

Situated across the Liffey from lively Temple Bar through its iconic neon sign, LGBTI-friendly Pantibar is always buzzing. It’s a cross between community gay bar and wild club. While somewhat low-key during the week, Pantibar really revs up with special events Thursday through Sunday. Think drag shows, karaoke, move nights, and cabaret performances full of rainbow, glitter, and glamour. The music is an eclectic blend of pop, electro, disco, and rock. Boisterous, fun-loving crowds are tended by Panti’s attractive, welcoming, and hardworking staff. The tamer downstairs lounge is a great option for more intimate affairs.

Time Out tip: Sample the specially crafted Panti’s Pale Ale from suburban Trouble Brewing. It’s a bestseller and taking its name from the spot’s owner, makes for some dirty jokes.

Nearby:
Winding Stair: To immerse yourself in one of the UNESCO City of Literature’s literary treasures
Koh: For tasty Thai at a communal table
The Legal Eagle: For artisan flatbreads and bar snacks served with craft beer or natural wine
