Come for the heist – stay for the chaos!
This original comedy follows two burglars whose carefully planned jobs collide in spectacularly messy fashion. Vivian, played by Marion Loudon, is a seasoned professional, while Zanie, played by Cara Roberts, is a first-time thief whose methods leave something to be desired.
When their plans go sideways, expect comic misunderstandings, clashing personalities and plenty of physical chaos. Presented by first-time producer AfriArtsConnect, the show is based on Jacolien Lüneburg’s Afrikaans satire Dubbeldief, adapted and directed by Ilana van den Berg.
Afropop fans, this one’s for you. Mthunzi is bringing his musical catalogue to the stage with a live band, blending soulful melodies and vibrant rhythms into an immersive concert experience. Expect favourites from his Afropop roots alongside chart-topping collaborations with Kabza De Small. The concert is sponsored by the Cameron Schrier Foundation in support of the Ronnie Madonsela Scholarship.

The festival’s main launch takes place on Sunday, 1 November, at the DUT Courtyard Theatre, with creative talks, art exhibitions, music, indigenous games, poetry and theatre.
Dust off those retro threads and get ready to rewind the clock. Deon Chetty is bringing a night of 80s and 90s nostalgia, with pop and R&B classics alongside dancefloor favourites. Whether you grew up with these hits or simply know every word from the car radio, expect plenty of sing-alongs, dancing and old-school party energy.
Trade the Halloween soundtrack for something a little more heavenly. The Durban Chamber Choir returns with This Shining Night, a concert celebrating choral music as a source of light in the darkness.
The programme moves from Renaissance masters and Scandinavian composers to modern jazz standards and traditional isiZulu songs.
