Saturday driver's licence services at selected KZN centres in July

Still haven't renewed your driver's licence or vehicle licence? Now’s your chance.

A select number of Driver's Licence Testing Centres (DLTCs) and Motor Licensing Offices (MLOs) across KZN will continue offering Saturday services for the remainder of July. This is perfect if you need to:

• Renew your driver's licence
• Apply for a temporary licence
• Collect a licence card
• Renew your vehicle licence disc

….and you don’t have time in the week!

Time Out Tip: Not every office offers the same services: DLTCs deal with driver's licence-related services, while Motor Licensing Offices handle vehicle licensing transactions.

Where you can go

1.     Verulam DLTC

• Dates: Saturday, 18 & 25 July 2026
• Time: 7am to 2pm
• Payment: Cash and card accepted

Services include:

• Learner's licences
• Driver's licences
• Driver's licence renewals
• Duplicate licences
• Temporary driver's licences
• Licence Codes A, B, EB, C, EC1 and PrDP

2.     Winklespruit/Amanzimtoti DLTC

• Dates: Saturday, 18 & 25 July 2026
• Time: 7am to 2pm
• Payment: Cash and card accepted

Services include:

• Learner's licences
• Driver's licences
• Driver's licence renewals
• Duplicate licences
• Temporary driver's licences
• Licence Codes A, B, EB, C, EC1 and PrDP

3.     KwaDukuza/Stanger DLTC

• Date: Saturday, 18 July 2026
• Time: 7am to 1pm

Services include:

• All driver's licence and learner's licence transactions (except driver's licence testing and vehicle testing)

4.     Umhlanga Motor Licensing Office

• Dates: Saturday, 18 & 25 July 2026
• Time: 7:30am to 12:30pm
• Payment: Card only (Visa and Mastercard)

Vehicle services include:

• Registration
• Deregistration
• Vehicle licensing and renewals

5.     Verulam Motor Licensing Office

• Dates: Saturday, 18 & 25 July 2026
• Time: 7:30am to 2pm
• Payment: Card only

Services include:

• Vehicle registration, licensing and renewals for all vehicle classes.

6.     Winklespruit/Kingsburgh Sizakala Centre Motor Licensing Office

• Dates: Saturday, 18 & 25 July 2026
• Time: 7:30am to 2pm
• Payment: Card only

Services include:

• Vehicle registration
• Deregistration
• Licence renewals

7.     Ballito Motor Licensing Office

• Date: Saturday, 25 July 2026
• Time: 8am to 1:30pm

Services include:

• Vehicle licence disc renewals and sales only

Before you go

For driver's licence renewals, remember to take:

• Your original South African ID or Smart ID Card (plus one copy)
• Driver's licence renewal fee (R250)
• Temporary licence fee if required (R90)
• One ID-sized photograph if applying for a temporary licence.

Several provincially operated centres, including Rossburgh, Pinetown/Mariannhill and Empangeni DLTCs, remain closed for weekend services until further notice.
