It doesn't matter whether you prefer indians or cowboys, because fans of both will love the exhibition 'The Fantastic Far West', showing at the Espai Carmen Thyssen in Sant Feliu de Guíxols. It takes you across the Atlantic to get to a mythical land where legend has always been stronger than reality. The show leads you on a tour that tries to capture a history that we've tended to hear with a biased slant; it runs from the tracks of the first Spanish conquistadors of the 16th century to the imaginary version of what happened that was popularised by films set in the Wild West. Period maps, paintings, sculptures, engravings, watercolours and anthropological objects highlight the idealisation of a country and the life led by Indian tribes there.
