Margo

Margo is a new high end, yet an intimate bar restaurant in the heart of the city. Margo offers a rich evening menu and a splendid wine and cocktail experience. Each area in the restaurant has a different design and unique atmosphere. The menu offers middle size dishes, served in contemporary elegance.

The menu has local Jerusalem dishes such beigale from Nablus gate, date carpaccio, camembert knafe, bruschetta, and more. The place also holds win and cocktail workshops.

Asu Salon

Eyal Asulin's Asu, is a local food studio according to his definition. It means that it is the home of local culinary that is attached to the Mediterranean space, to the local culture, to the year seasons and to people. 

This is an all year open long restaurant that is open through the week. It holds unique concept events such as tasting meals, brunches, chef events, parties, etc.

Racheli Vernir Confectionery 

This familiar new confectionery in Jerusalem opened in the Machane Yehuda Market. It looks like a fancy jewelry shop from Paris. Racheli is known from the TV series "The Special Desserts" which she had won. The boutique confectionery offers photogenic pastries, sandwiches, salads, superb croissants, and much more, all handmade, with special attention to details and esthetics done in traditional French methods.

Patata

Patata is a new place that is located in the heart of The Machane Yehuda Market. Various potato dishes can be found with many combinations in unique tastes. It is strictly kosher and proud to serve the famous Spanish dish patatas de feria – creamed potatoes. The idea is playing with creamed cheeses and toppings, such as olives, corn, mushrooms, caramelized onion and more.

Kabum – The Krembo House

Chocolate banana filled with ganache and Chinese pekan. Caramel, passion fruit and lemon are some of the tastes you will find in Kabum. This unique krembo house opened a year ago in Machane Yehuda Market and offers 12 kinds of krembo. Liron Ayalon the owner, has come up with a menu that fits all seasons. He believes krembo is an all-year delight and not only for wintertime.

Black Iron

On Agripas Street, the main route of Machane Yehuda, a new meat restaurant was opened – The Black Iron Restaurant. In the restaurant the meat is the star. From wagyu roasting to old school grilling, this restaurant has it all. Wagyu is a Japanese meat with deep flavors that is renowned worldwide. For all you meat lovers, this is the place for you.

Corner in The Valley

Corner in the valley is a new kosher Jerusalem grill restaurant on the heart of the German Colony, in the corner of the streets Emek Harefaim and Rachel Imenu. The restaurant serves a rich and diverse meat menu from noon hours till the late hours of the night. The dishes have a Moroccan and Middle Eastern touch. There is also a wide private event hall for family events, as well as a takeaway menu.

A New Culinary Tour

Inside restaurants is new culinary tour that reveals all the secrets of the restaurants in the First Tachana site. The guided Hebrew and English tour will be held every Wednesday at 17:00-1845, and costs 50 shekels a person.

The tour takes the participants to behind the scene experience of the leading restaurant in the First Tachana site, and it includes a visit to 7 stations, an encounter with chefs, bartenders, dish stories from the restaurants Fury, Station 9, Red, Vanilla, Coffee, Azhiman and the Mesila. The tour also consists of a 10 minute video of the site and its history.

Mitzle

Though it has been around for more than a year, it is worth mentioning the culinary initiative by the chef Avi Levi. Mitzle has been honoring local Jerusalem Street food and the Levantine cuisine. In the menu, you can find meat on sticks, Shawarma, lamb, grilled vegetables, falafel, humus and much more authentic food.

Five O'clock Tea

Waldorf Astoria Hotel offers his guests and visitors a traditional elegant British tea meal, also known as afternoon tea. This a social cultural event in British culture, that is aimed to restrict hunger between lunchtime and dinner time, and diminish boredom around 17:00 o'clock.

The complimentary meal during tea time at the Waldorf Astoria consists od crème cheese with cucumber slices, smoked salmon slices, egg tart and different types of cookies. In addition, there is a rich variety of tea. The tea meal is served from Sunday to Thursday and costs 350 shekels a couple. (Prebooking is required).

Jerusalem Tasting Project

Jerusalem Tasting is an initiative by the business promotion department, Jerusalem municipality, and on life. They have built a digital national platform that unites 50 chefs from Jerusalem that display their flagship dishes in a video workshop. It is possible to purchase tens of workshops to make the same dishes as familiar local restaurants do. In the project there are more than 50 cooking workshops for 10 shekels each. In addition, there are a lot of food articles, recommendations, and many traditional recipes.

Wine at The Windmill 

At the windmill compound in Mishkenot Shaananim, right in the historical windmill structure, there is an intimate wine bar with various wines and cheeses. This is also the visitor center of Jerusalem winery; Therefore, many tastings, workshops and explanations take place over there. This is the place to choose local wine and go on a picnic in the region or in one of the nearby parks.

Avichail's Café's Packaging

Avichail's café has operated more than 90 years. It started in 1932 when Nissan Avichail opened the mythological Avichail's bakery in Zichron Moshe neighborhood in Jerusalem.
