Inspired by the Nuremberg Toy Museum, this museum was opened in 2005 by Sunay Akın in his old family mansion on the Asian side of Istanbul. The concept was to create a dream world, achieved through the sheer number of toys displayed on the museum’s five floors. The oldest items in the collection are a small violin made in France in 1817, a doll made in America in 1820 and marbles, also made in America, dating back to 1860.
