This is the first solo exhibition in Istanbul by Gavin Turk, the British artist who’s famous for his playful take on how fame affects the approach to art and the artist’s approach by questioning the identity and signature of the artist and the originality of a work of art. He targets the likes of Andy Warhol as well as ultra-famous modernists like Yves Klein and Piero Manzoni. This is one of the most notable exhibitions to start the new season.
