Emel Mathlouthi (Women of the Sun)

Tunisian singer-songwriter Emel Mathlouthi served as the voice of the masses while the Arab Spring was sweeping through her country with her song “Kelmti Horra” (“My Word is Free”). Tonight she brings her blend of traditional melodies and trip-hop – as well as her message of peace to Istanbul.
