The difference between Arnavutköy Balıkçısı and many others is that the six partners who own it learned their craft working in some of the best seafood restaurants in the city. Basically, this team isn’t at all unfamiliar with the kitchen, service or management of such an establishment. The service here is as thoughtful and meticulous as if you were a guest in their house instead of a restaurant.
The menu is that of a classic fish restaurant though there is also a scattering of different tastes as well. The mezzes include soy mackerel, octopus salad, cabbage sprouts, ringo salad with seabass, while noteworthy entrees include seafood crepe, fried calamari, and fish meatballs. With the perfectly cooked angler with lemon, the Arnavutköy salad is ideal. After dinner, the volcanic is a dessert you should definitely try. Though there are many alternatives on the drink menu, Kavaklıdere and Doluca are the only wines served. The prices are moderate but one fish dish and a salad would make a filling meal.
